NATIONAL ASSESSMENT

To attain the National Qualification of Welding NC I (SMAW), the candidate must demonstrate competence in all the units of competency. Successful candidates shall be awarded a National Certificate signed by the TESDA Director General

National Assessment Requirements

1. Accomplished application form

2. 4 pcs. Passport size photo colored with white background

3. 2 copies NSO birth certificate

For Industry Worker who would like to take the national assessment these are the requirements:

1. Accomplished application form

2. 4 pcs. Passport size photo colored with white background

3. 2 copies NSO birth certificate

4. 2 copies of Employment certificate

SMAW NC II

The Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to weld carbon steel plate and pipe components as specified by layout, blueprints, diagrams, work order, welding procedure or oral instructions using shielded metal arc welding equipment.

COURSE DURATION
268 hours or 34 days (5x a week/8 hours per day)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Trainees or students wishing to gain entry into this course should possess the following requirements:

• can communicate either oral and written
• physically and mentally fit
• with good moral character
• undergone training in SMAW NC I or holder of SMAW NC I

Admission Requirements:

• Trainees Profile Form
• 4 Copies of Birth Certificate authenticated by PSA(former NSO)
• 2 Copies of School Records (High School or College Diploma Certified True Copy of Form 137A or Transcript of Records)
• Good Moral Character Certificate
• Medical Certificate (Mentally & Physically Fit)
• Government IDs preferably passport
• 4 pcs passport size photo
• 5 pcs 1x1 size photo
